GATE Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria

It is important to have full knowledge of the eligibility criteria for GATE 2024 before filling out GATE 2024 application form. The General GATE 2024 Eligibility criteria says that the candidate’s nationality can be Indian as well as international. As far as the age limit is concerned there’s no age limit for the GATE 2024 exam which is held once a year. Also, a candidate can attempt the GATE exam unlimited times.

• B.E./B. Tech/B. Pharm: 3rd year or higher/completed (2024).
• B. Arch: 3rd year or higher/completed (2024 for 4-year, 2025 for 5-year).
• B.Sc. (Research): 3rd year or higher/completed (2024).
• Pharm. D: 3rd to 6th year/completed (2026).
• M.B.B.S.: 5th semester or higher/completed (2024).
• M.Sc., MA, MCA: 1st year or higher/completed (2024).
• Integrated M.E./M. Tech (Post B.Sc.): 1st to 4th year/completed (2026).
• Integrated M.E./M. Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma/10+2): 3rd to 5th year/completed (2025).
• B.Sc./B.A./B. Com: 3rd year or higher/completed (2022).
• Integrated M. Sc, Integrated B.S./M.S.: 3rd year or higher/completed (2025).

GATE Notification 2024 Selection Process

This GATE 2024 Selection Process will provide the engineering graduate candidates with a pathway for to get positions in government-owned companies through the GATE 2024 exam. Candidates will be able to apply for the recruitment process based on their GATE 2024 scores. Candidates’ cut-offs, as revealed by PSUs, will be considered for other rounds like Personal Interview (PI)/ Group Discussion (GD). PSU conducts its test to shortlist the candidates.

GATE Notification 2024 Exam Pattern

The GATE Exam 2024 is worth 100 marks and it lasts for 3 hours. There will be 65 questions in the exam. Question types include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Wrong answers in MCQs will lose one-third of the marks for that question. There will be no negative marking for NAT and MSQ questions. The exam includes a mix of question types to test the different skills of the candidates, where they will have to answer all the questions in a total of 3 hours. Therefore, managing time is very important due to the time limit. Accurate answers in NAT and MSQ can help boost candidates’ scores.
