GATE Civil Engineering syllabus is arranged into 7 subjects Engineering Mathematics, Water Resource Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.
Apart from subject-wise sections, General Aptitude questions are included in exam. The GATE exam format is 65 questions of 100 marks in which 72% of marks weightage is given to core subjects, 15% of marks weightage to General Aptitude, and 13% of marks weightage to Engineering Mathematics.
