1- The GATE 2024 exam pattern for civil engineering and syllabus shall be divided into 7 sections including Engineering, Mathematics, Structural Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Geotechnical Engineering.
2- The pattern of questions will include some Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ), and some may include Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
3- GATE 2024 exam date is February 3, 4, 10, and 11. The GATE exam will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT) mode.
4- There shall be a total of 65 questions with 100 marks including General Aptitude (10 questions) and Civil Engineering Subject (55 questions). However, 72 percent weightage will be given to the Civil Engineering subject questions, 13 percent to Engineering Mathematics, and the rest 15 percent to the General Aptitude.
