IBPS Clerk exam is conducted to fill the vacancies in Public Sector Banks. On the other hand, IBPS RRB (Regional Rural Clerk Examination) is conducted for the recruitment of banking personnel in ‌rural banks in various states across the country. There are other differences in terms of exam patterns. For example, in IBPS Clerk Prelims there’s an English language section which is missing in RRB Clerk Prelims.

A. IBPS RRB Clerk Examination is conducted in two stages. 

1. Preliminary: The preliminary exam is conducted online and consists of two sections – Reasoning and Numerical Ability. The total exam duration is 45 minutes, and the total number of questions is 80.

2. Mains: The main exam is conducted online and consists of five sections – Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge. A. The eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB Clerk Exam are as follows:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit for the post of Office Assistant is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 28 years. However, age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Apart from that Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s*
