3 Important Pointers to note for Phase 1 Exam:

  1. Qualifying Section – Test of Reasoning, English Language, Computer Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, Decision Making.
  2. Merit Section – General Awareness, Eco & Soc. Issues (with focus on Rural India), Agriculture & Rural Development with Emphasis on Rural India.
  3. Shortlisting of the candidates for the Main exam will be based on marks scored in the merit section only.

Q6. What is the selection process of NABARD Grade-A Recruitment?

The examination will be conducted in three phases:

  1. Phase-I
  2. Phase-II
  3. Interview

Phase-I: Preliminary Exam

  • The preliminary exam has one paper of 200 marks.
  • The Preliminary Examination is only qualifying in nature and is meant to serve as a screening test. The total duration of the exam is going to be 2 hours. The Preliminary paper is common for all the candidates applying for different streams.
  • Candidates who will qualify and rank high as per NABARD’s standards will be eligible for giving the Main Examination. The calling ratio for Main Exam shall be 1:25.

Phase-II: Mains Exam

  • The Main Examination will be conducted in online mode and will be have a mix of MCQ and descriptive pattern. Only such candidates who score the minimum cut off marks or above in the Main Exam will be shortlisted for interview. The calling ratio for the Interview shall be 1:5. For every wrong answer marked, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.

Phase-II: Interview

  • The candidate will qualify the Mains exam, will be called for the Interview worth 25 marks.
  • Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II – Main Examination and securing the sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview.

Final Selection:

As the posts are earmarked discipline-wise, a merit list of candidates for each stage will be prepared accordingly. Cutoff marks in Phase-I and Phase-II may be applied ‘on scores in individual tests and On your Total Score’. Your final selection and ranking for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ (RDBS/Rajbhasha/Legal) will be based on your performance in the Phase-II Main Examination and Interview, combined together.

Tie-breaker method

In case of candidates securing same marks, their ranking will be decided as under:

  • The candidates having equal marks in total (Mains + Interview), the candidates with higher marks in Main will be ranked higher.
  • In case of having equal marks in Mans, the candidate with a higher qualification or in case of similar qualifications, candidates with higher marks in graduation will be ranked higher.
  • For further tie-up, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

No, NABARD Grade A is not a gazetted officer job.

Q8. Who is eligible for NABARD Jobs?

Anyone with a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 55%) in aggregate.

No, as NABARD has clearly mentioned in its official notification that the candidate applying for Grade A Exam should be a graduate (or your final year result should have been out by 1 st of July 2021).
