What are the Major Changes in EPFO SSA Exam Pattern & Selection Process 2023?

As per the EPFO SSA Notification 2023, the selection process and exam pattern for the EPFO SSA Recruitment has changed. Given below are highlights of the same.

• The selection process will now only entertain 2 stages namely CBT and Skill Test.
• The Mains Exam will not be conducted as part of the selection process.
• The CBT is an objective-type exam containing 600 marks.

EPFO SSA Exam Pattern 2023-New Exam Pattern

The EPFO SSA Exam pattern has been modified. Given below are key highlights of the new exam pattern for EPFO SSA:

• The revised EPFO SSA exam pattern says, there will only be a single online exam, followed by the skill test.
• The Mains exam (descriptive questions) has been removed now.
• The candidates will only have to clear the objective-type online exam to qualify for the skill test.
• Sectional timing for the online examination has also been removed.
• The merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored in the online test only.
• The skill test will be qualifying in nature.

EPFO SSA Exam Pattern for Online Test – Check Major Changes

According to the changed EPFO SSA Exam Pattern, the Phase I exam will be an online, objective-type test. A total of 150 questions will be asked. Each question will carry 4 marks. 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Computer Literacy subject has been added to the syllabus. 10 questions will be asked from the same. The exam duration will be 150 minutes, with no sectional timing.

EPFO SSA Exam Pattern for Skill Test

The Skill Test will be a qualifying test. It will assess a candidate’s speed and accuracy for Data Entry Work based on the following criteria:

•  Typing speed: 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer
• 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work
