Degree in Engineering: Alternatively, candidates with a degree in engineering are also eligible to apply. The engineering degree should be from a government-recognized university or institution.

RRB JE 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

A candidate eligible for the RRB Junior Engineer Exam must fall into one of the following categories:

  • A resident of India,
  • A subject of Nepal,
  • A subject of Bhutan,
  • A Tibetan exile who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the aim of permanently settling in India.
