All candidates while choosing the preferences end up marking the banks with the most number of vacancies. This might seem to be the obvious choice but put some thought into it. The IBPS Clerk exam is not for metropolitan cities but for regional and rural branches. In such a scenario it is of utmost importance for the employer to choose candidates which are proficient in local languages as you need to communicate with local customers. And remember, you do not need to have a domicile for any state for the local language.
For ex.- If you are from Jaipur, and you are proficient in Bengali language, you can consider applying from the West Bengal state as well.
Relocation for banking jobs is something which you have to accept with an open mind. If you don’t want to start your job in a new city then you might make your bank preferences accordingly. Some candidates might won’t prefer migrating as it could be financial barrier or more of personal preference.
