RRB will conduct the RRB Group D Level 1 exam to fill 1,03,769 vacancies for the posts of Helper/ Assistant, Track Maintainer Grade IV, Assistant Pointsman in Indian Railways. The RRB Group D exam was scheduled to be commenced from February 23, 2022, onwards but RRB has suspended the exam for now. We will update the exam date as soon as it is out. For those who don’t know, RRB Group D exam involves 4 stages – CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Test.

RRB Group D Tier-I Exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted by the recruitment board. This test shortlists candidates for next rounds of RRB Group D. The CBT Exam contains 100 objective type questions from various subjects that are to be completed within a timeframe of 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates).

On clearing the CBT exam, you will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test on the basis of merit. The PET exam is conducted by the RRB to test if you meet the physical standards of for the given posts or not. The PET Exam is of qualifying nature and no marks will be granted for the exam, whereas the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the CBT exam only.

Once the RRB Group D computer-based test (CBT) will be completed, the qualified candidates will be called for the physical efficiency test (PET). After the final selection, the candidates have to go through the document verification process.
