Preparation Tips for SSC CGL Tier 2 for AAO

By having a glimpse at the exam pattern for the SSC CGL Tier 2, we can see that the candidate have to give an extra paper, i.e., Paper III- General Studies (Finance and Economics). That means, the candidate have to take following 7 papers in the Tier 2 phase of the SSC Exam 2023 for the post of AAO.

  1. Mathematical Abilities: There are few things that need to be considered while preparing for mathematical abilities, such as:
    • Without daily practice, it’s impossible to score high in maths.
    • Give a little extra focus to probability & Statistics.
    • Practice Previous Years’ papers.
    • Whenever you complete a topic, practice mock tests and you’ll be able to figure out, where you stand on your preparation journey and what part you need to focus more.
  2. Reasoning and General Intelligence:

  3. English Language and Comprehension:
    • While preparing for the English paper, vocabulary should be one of the main focus.
    • Go through the previous years question papers and you’d be able to draw a good idea of he question patters and how much you need to work.
    • You can leverage the Free Vocabulary Resources available on the our blog. Make the most out of them.
  4. General Awareness:
    • Solve past five years’ question papers. You will get a good idea of all the most important topics.
    • NCERT books for Matriculation Board are considered authentic. Use them for history, geography, polity, economics concerning India.
    • Revise Static GK regularly. For Current Event preparation, you may use the GA blogs & PDFs available on our site.
    • Mock Tests are especially helpful for GA topics. Go through intensive sessions of Mock Practice.
    • (Important Note: Do not touch any event that happens within the last 3-4 months for current event preparation. Instead, go through the GA questions of the most recent SSC exams and you’ll cover all the important current event topics.)
  5. Computer Knowledge:
    • It’s qualifying hence without getting the minimum marks you won’t be considered for the job.
    • Get all your concepts clear. Learn the basics of computer. Topics mostly include MS Office, Word, Excel. So read them thoroughly.
