IBPS PO 2023 Eligibility Criteria
IBPS has released the notification for the post of PO that is Probationary Officer with 11 participating banks. As per the notification the eligibility criteria is segregated into sections including the age limit, nationality and educational qualification. So, here we will be talking about these step by step.
IBPS PO 2023 Nationality
The applicant for applying for the IBPS PO exam could be:
- Indian Citizen
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing in India permanently
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

IBPS PO 2023 Educational Qualification (As on 21.08.2023)
Candidates before applying for this year’s IBPS PO 2023 exam must thoroughly check if they are qualified to apply beforehand. Those applying should have the below mentioned qualification:
- He or she should be possessing a graduate degree (such as BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech) from a recognized university
- Degree or marks should be obtained on or before 21st June 2023.
- Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 21.08.2023 has to be submitted at the time of interview
- Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into percentage and indicated in online application.
- The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks (in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any) multiplied by 100.

IBPS PO 2023 Age Limit (AS ON 01.08.2023)
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 30 years
i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2003 (both dates inclusive)

- The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates and Economically Weaker (EWS) Category Candidates.
- Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit necessary certificate(s) in original/ along with photocopies at the time of Interview and at any subsequent stage of the recruitment process as required by IBPS/ Participating Bank(s).
- If an ex-serviceman applies for various vacancies before joining any civil employment, he/she can avail the benefit of reservation as ex-serviceman for any subsequent employment.

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager)– Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale-II (Manager)- Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager)- Above 18 years – Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
