Tips to Score More in the Quantitative Aptitude Section

  • Remember: Speed is the key to clear the Tier I exam. There are some easy & scoring topics on which you need to practice a great deal of questions.
  • These topics are Simplification, Interest, Percentage, Ratio  Proportion, Age-based problems etc.
  • The more problems you solve in these topics, the better it is.
  • Practising & reviewing your attempts will not only help you understand the relevant concept but it will also help you in increasing your speed.
  • When solving simplification problems, stick to BODMAS rules.
  • Also, keep in mind that dealing with fractions is generally considered easy than dealing with decimals. It’s a good idea to memorize the fractional equivalent of decimals and percentages.

  • Concept of averages, percentages and ratio & proportion are used in data interpretation, data sufficiency and in word problems as well.

  • Consider solving complex speed, time and distance questions which will clarify your concepts and will help you develop shortcuts.
  • Number series questions don’t have any specific logic. The best trick to answer them quickly is to practice them as much as possible.
