SSC CGL 2 Months Study Plan: Week-Wise Strategy

Here we have divided the SSC CGL 2 months study plan into week-wise. The motive for following the SSC CGL study plan week-wise is to help you in your preparation systematically. You will be able to know how to utilize each week effectively. So, go through the 2 months SSC CGL study plan week-wise strategy and follow it consistently.

Week 1-2: SSC CGL 2 Months Study Plan

Check out the strategy that you have to follow for weeks 1 and 2 of the SSC CGL 2 months study plan.

  1. This is the starting phase of your preparation, so start your preparation by first understanding the exam, like what is SSC CGL exam is, what the syllabus is, what the exam pattern is, etc.
  2. After knowing the syllabus, create a study plan for two weeks in which you can cover your basics or build your foundation.
  3. For building your foundation, focus on:
    • Quantitative Aptitude: Arithmetic, percentages, averages, and number systems.
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Solve puzzles, series completion, and basic logic-based problems.
    • English Comprehension: Revise grammar rules, tenses, parts of speech, sentence correction, error spotting, and vocabulary building.
    • General Awareness: focus on important dates, countries, capitals, static GK topics, and current affairs.
  4. Just build your basics and try to solve basic-level questions.

Week 3-4: SSC CGL 2 Months Study Plan

This time move on to the advanced level so that you become able to solve moderate and hard questions too, because the SSC can ask questions from easy to hard. If you want to crack the exam, then you should be able to solve questions of each level.

  1. If you have left any topic for study in weeks 1 and 2, then try to cover that topic in this 3rd week, but make sure you are not spending too much time.
  2. After completing the whole syllabus, focus on solving hard-level questions (try to solve at least 15-20 questions from each section).
  3. Make your schedule of revision in which you are revising current affairs, quantitative formulas, English grammar rules, vocabulary, reasoning shortcuts, and tricks.
  4. Attempt at least two mock tests a week so that you become more familiar with the exam pattern.

Week 5-6: SSC CGL 2 Months Study Plan

Now you are aware of the syllabus and question level, and you have done some practice too. This time is to get more familiar with the exam.

  1. The SSC CGL is a time-bounded exam, and it has a negative marking too. So it’s important to improve your speed and accuracy.
  2. Solve at least 3-4 mock tests a week, it will help you in the improvement of your speed and accuracy.
  3. Prioritize your weak areas and focus on those areas.
  4. Analyze your mistakes and performance report carefully after taking the mock tests.
  5. Try to analyze the weak section, focus on that section, and practice that section as much as possible.

Week 7-8: SSC CGL 2 Months Study Plan

These are the final weeks and last days of exams. This time is most important, and you have to utilize it smartly. Below we have provided a study plan for these two weeks that you should follow.

  • Revise key concepts, shortcuts, and formulas daily so that you can utilize them quickly and be able to memorize them quickly during exam time.
  • Don’t pick any topic that you have not studied during weeks 1-4. You can utilize that time to make weak areas into strong ones.
  • Solve at least 5 mock tests a week. So total of 10 mock tests you have to practice. After each mock test, make sure you are analyzing them carefully.
  • When you attempt the mock tests, try to solve them in 55 minutes so that you can feel more comfortable during the exam.
  • Do not perform any guesswork, it can lead to negative markings during the exam.
  • Make sure you have covered the last 6 months’ current affairs for SSC CGL, and revise them from time to time.
  • Two days before the exam, you are advised to revise and revise.
  • While preparing for the exam, do not forget about your health. Get proper sleep and eat a balanced diet.
