ESIC UDC Exam Pattern 2022

In ESIC UDC Exam, the written examination for testing the eligibility of the candidates will be conducted in 3 stages:

1. Prelims
2. Mains
3. Computer Skill Test.

ESIC Exam Pattern for Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

The ESIC UDC Exam Pattern comprises 3 stages. Check out the details for all three stages:

ESIC UDC Phase-1 Prelims Exam

Phase –I or Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature. The marks will not be calculated for final merit. There will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question for every wrong answer. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10, which is about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category. This will be on the basis of their performance in Phase – I or Preliminary Examination.

ESIC UDC Phase-2 Mains Exam

The ESIC UDC mains exam is an objective type test. The marks scored in Phase-II Main Examination will be considered for final selection. There will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question for each wrong answer. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-III Computer Skill Test in the ratio of 1:5, which is about 5 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase-II Main Examination.

Phase-3 Computer Skill Test

Phase 3 or Computer Skill Test will be qualifying in nature. This will be a test to check the working knowledge of computers for those PWD Candidates who are unable to type. They shall be assessed by holding an Objective Type Computer Test of 50 Marks. This test will have 50 Questions. And there will be no negative marking. Marks obtained will not be calculated for merit ranking.
