IBPS PO Mains 2024 Exam Pattern
1. Exam Structure
- The IBPS PO Mains exam consists of two sections:
- Objective Test (Online)
- Descriptive Test (English Language Writing Skills)
2. Objective Test Pattern
- The IBPS PO mains 2024 Exam an objective test has four sections with a total of 155 questions carrying 200 marks.
- The duration is 3 hours, with different time limits for each section.

How To Score 35+ Marks For IBPS PO GA Section in 30 Days
Candidates applying for the post of Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee (MT) and who qualified for the IBPS PO Prelims 2024 will be called for the IBPS PO Mains 2024 exam where they will be asked Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from the General/Economy/Banking Awareness. There will be 40 MCQs for 40 marks and a sectional timing of 35 minutes will be maintained.
1. Revise through the whole syllabus, exam pattern, important topics, and cut-offs
When you have a thorough awareness of your syllabus, key concepts, exam format, marking criteria, amount of questions, and previous year’s cut-off marks, you can maximise your exam preparation. Making an efficient study schedule and preparation can make preparation easy. You should Know Each section’s weightage and the number of questions from each topic.
2. Avoid Guesswork, Penalty for Wrong Answers will be applicable
The Mains exam will still have a penalty for incorrect answers. If you mark the incorrect response, 0.25 points, or 1/4 of the total marks for that question, will be taken away from your final score. There will be no negative marking in case if you leave a question blank.
3. Solve previous years’ question papers, mock tests, and quizzes
By completing past years’ papers, you can not only have a better idea of the complexity of the questions and the level of study actually needed, but you can also analyse your strong and weak points and develop a plan for how to approach a question on the actual exam. To prepare for actual test conditions, one can set a timer and complete practice questions.
