SBI Clerk 2022 Exam-Top 4 Lies about SBI Clerks

An SBI Clerk acts as the cashier, attends financial queries, assists the station and assistant managers for the smooth functioning of the bank. Even a minute mistake by him during data input can cause a huge loss to the Bank.  There are also many myths that act as lies surrounding this exciting job. Let us investigate some of the myths that act as lies, engulfing an SBI clerk.

Here are the top 4 lies about SBI Clerks that you might find over the internet:

Lie no. 1: The SBI Clerk Exam is a cakewalk for a good student ‘or’ Clearing SBI Clerk Exam is impossible for a weak student

Truth: It is an absolute lie! A student believing in such a myth might have to meet an utter failure. SBI Exam requires a lot of thorough study sessions and immense practice. It is a dream job for many students, and many aspirants keep on struggling to achieve this goal despite repeated failures. The two phases of this exam make the journey tough and lengthy, but not impossible.

Hard work and discipline guarantee success. The first phase, the preliminary exam comprises questions from the English language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. Candidates need to qualify for each of the three exams. And those who get a high rank get merit listed for the Main Examination.

As per 2021 SBI Notice, ‘The number of candidates to be shortlisted from the preliminary examination for the main examination will be 20 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category.’

Candidates who get through the exams have to put themselves in a space of discipline.

Give SBI Clerk 2022 Mock Tests to highlight your weaker points and work on them, while preparing for the exam. In the actual Exam, try to first attempt the questions/sections you are strong in. Practice and manage your time well.

Lie-no. 2: You can’t crack SBI Clerk Exam without Coaching

Truth: It’s a myth! Although coaching classes can help you with preparing the syllabus and solving out tough questions in the best possible way, but in a test like SBI Clerk you need more than this to succeed. If you can well understand the syllabus and have good study material backed by regular Mock Tests, self-study is enough for fruitful results.

When it comes to checking your speed and accuracy and implementing a strategy to enhance your own efficiency, Mock Test is a unique tool. Acting as a clone to the actual SBI Clerk Exam, accelerates your Exam preparation and trains your mind to be well acquainted with the pattern of the questions and the time to invest in each question to finish it off in a stipulated time period.

Create a study plan and timetable and stick to it. You need to maintain these three things while solving the questions:

  1. Good speed
  2. Accuracy
  3. Energy via good health

Lie-no. 3: An SBI clerk has to do only a little work

This is baseless! Remember demonetization? SBI Clerks have to be very flexible at times, whenever new policies are brought in by the government of India. Whenever there is anything like an RBI audit or SBI notification about making systemic changes in the entire Banking process like the Demonetization, SBI Clerks have to take care of all the account holders.

Along with the contribution to the growth of the Bank, they have to communicate with the account holders for hours to satisfy them and their Banking needs. Their job requires focus and sometimes, intense patience and forbearance in India. Careful and hardworking are two words that define an SBI Clerk.

Lie-no. 4: SBI clerks enjoy fixed timings leave after 5 pm

This is not completely true! The workload of the SBI Clerk differs from Branch to Branch. They have to stay late at the bank whereas most clerical staff can leave after 5 pm, due to the nature of their workload. But then, they have fixed holidays and will not be summoned off days.
