25 Important Instructions for IBPS PO Candidates

We hope that all the banking aspirants have already started applying for the IBPS PO 2021 exam. The release of IBPS PO Notification is definitely good news for banking aspirants. In this article, we have come up with 25 Important Instructions for IBPS PO Candidates which you need to keep in mind if you are serious about clearing the Prelims exam.

Please note that you should religiously follow these instructions. Non-compliance of these instructions may even lead to the cancellation of your candidature. These instructions are simple to understand and it’s extremely important that you go through these once.   1. Please note that no document needs to be sent directly to IBPS before or after the online exam. At the time of IBPS PO Prelims, Mains & Interview, candidates will have to mandatorily produce and submit documents such as valid call letter, original photo identity proof and its copy. The name on these documents should be the same as mentioned in the online application form.
  2. Candidates should check & confirm if they fulfil the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in IBPS PO Advertisement. Read each & every detail of this advertisement carefully and follow all the instructions for submitting the online application.
  3. Please note that just because a candidate has been called for the online exam/interview, that doesn’t mean that his/her candidate has been finally cleared by IBPS/Participating Organisations. Admission to online exams/interview is strictly provisional. IBPS/Participating Organisations can reject any application at any stage of the process and cancel the candidature of the candidate in case it is detected that a candidate doesn’t fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that the candidate has provided any incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s). If any of these shortcoming(s) is/are detected after appointment in a Participating Organisation, his/her services are liable to be summarily terminated.
  4. The decision of Nodal Banks/Participating Organisations/ IBPS in matters relating to the eligibility of the candidate, different stages of the recruitment process, qualifications and other eligibility norms, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of Examination, interview, verification etc. will be final and binding on candidates. No correspondence/enquiries will be entertained IBPS/ Participating Organisations regarding the above.
  5. If any candidate opts for a scribe, the scribe should not be a candidate for the exam. If any violation of this is detected later, the candidature for CRP of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled.
  6. No candidate should submit more than 1 application. In case any candidate has submitted multiple applications, only the latest valid (completed) applications will be considered and the fee for all the other applications will be forfeited.
  7. If any candidate has multiple attendance/appearance in the online exam/interview, his/her candidature will be rejected.
  8. Once you have registered your application, you will not be allowed to withdraw your application and all the fee paid will neither be refunded nor be held in reserve for any other exam.
  9. If there is any dispute on IBPS PO 2020 advertisement or its recruitment process, it will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Mumbai.
  10. If a candidate attempts to canvass or create influence for undue advantage, he/she will be disqualified from the selection process.
  11. Please fill the application form very carefully when it comes to the venue of online exam, your address and other details. Once the online form is submitted any request for change of any of the details of the application form will not be entertained. Also, any request for change in date & time of online exam will not be entertained.
  12. When it comes to the interpretation of clauses in any version of IBPS PO 2020 Notification other than English, only the English version available on IBPS website will prevail.
  13. All the signatures appended by the candidate in all the places (call letter, attendance sheet, correspondence with IBPS/Participating Organisations etc.) should be identical and there shouldn’t be any variation. Please also note that signature in capital letters will not be accepted.
  14. Sufficient copies of the photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm) (which is used in the online application form) should be retained by the candidate for future use. Candidates are also advised not to alter their appearance until the process is complete. Failure to produce the same photograph at various stages of the process or doubt about identity at any stage could lead to disqualification
  15. The left thumb impression which has to be scanned and uploaded in the online application form should not be smudged.
  16. The handwritten declaration should be in the candidate’s handwriting and should be in English only. This declaration should not be in capital letters.
  17. The possibility of occurrence of some problem in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In case this happens, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include movement of candidates, delay in test etc. Please note that the conduct of a re-exam is at the absolute discretion of IBPS. Candidates will not have any claim for a re-test. Candidates not willing to move or not willing to participate in the delayed process of test delivery shall be summarily rejected from the recruitment process of IBPS PO 2020.
  18. Candidates who are called for an interview shall have to attend the interview at their own expense. However, there are reimbursement procedures for eligible outstation SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category candidates.
  19. If any candidate shares their application details with anybody, Nodal Banks/ Participating Organisations/ IBPS will not be responsible for any application made/ wrong information provided by an unauthorized person/institution.
  20. If you are selected, the Decision of Participating Organisation to which you are provisionally allotted will be final and binding on you. IBPS doesn’t have have any role here. Any queries in this regard are to be made to the Participating Organisation only. Further, the appointment of provisionally allotted candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit and meeting any other requirement of the Participating Organisation and subject to service and conduct rules of the Participating Organisation.
  21. IBPS reserves the right to change any criteria, method of selection, provisional allotment etc.
  22. All the correspondence will be sent by email and/or SMS to the email address and mobile number registered in the online application form.
  23. IBPS will not be responsible if any correspondence doesn’t reach the candidate because of change in the mobile number, email address, technical fault etc. Candidates are strongly advised to keep a close eye on the official website.
  24. All the candidates should indicate their order of preference for participating organizations. No request for change in this order will be entertained later.
  25. Follow all the guidelines related to Social Distancing Mode of Examination. Any violation in this may lead to disqualification of the candidature.
