  3. The GATE score is valid for three years, which means a candidate can use the same score to apply for postgraduate programs for three consecutive years.
  4. The GATE score is also accepted by several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for recruitment purposes.
  5. The GATE exam is conducted online mode. It is a computer-based test (CBT) where candidates have to answer objective-type questions using a virtual calculator.
  6. The GATE exam consists of 65 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
