Today is the second day of SBI PO Prelims 2o19 exam. If we have to give a brief consolidated analysis of the exam that took place in 4 slots yesterday, we can say that the overall exam was easier than last year. No new kind of questions have appeared and the pattern is more or less on the conventional lines. Without wasting any further time, let’s dig into the analysis of Slot 1 of day 2 i.e. June 9.   Overall, the paper was easy. Amongst the three sections, the English section was easy, Quant section was moderate and the Reasoning section was easy to moderate.  The detailed section-wise analysis of the exam is as under:

English Language Section

This section was easy.

  • 8 questions from a single set of RC (2 Synonyms and Antonyms)
  • 5 questions from Parajumbles (Normal Set based)
  • 3 questions from Sentence Completion (Match the following type)
  • 7 questions from Error Detection
  • 5 questions from Spelling Errors
  • 2 questions on Fillers

Quantitative Aptitude Section

This section was moderate. One of the DI sets was calculative. Rest was doable

  • 15 questions from 3 sets of Data Interpretation
    • 1 Pie Chart
    • 1 Table based DI
    • 1 Caselet
  • 5 Quadratic equations comparison
  • 5 questions from wrong number series
  • 10 Word Problems

Reasoning Section

This section was easy-moderate.  Let’s have a look at the topics from which questions were asked.

  • 20 questions from 4 Puzzles and Seating arrangement
    • Box-based puzzle
    • Linear Arrangement with 5 people facing North and one variable
    • Year age based grid matrix puzzle
    • Square arrangement (People sitting in the middle of the square facing inside and the ones sitting on the corner facing outside)
  • 5 questions from Coding-decoding
  • 5 question from Inequalities
  • 3 Blood Relations questions
  • 2 Alphabet and Number based series questions

Syllogisms questions which appeared in all the slots yesterday were missing from this slot.

Overall, this paper is quite doable if you have been taking our Mock Tests. Let’s have a look at the number of Good Attempts:

  • English Language: 24-27
  • Quants: 19-22
  • Overall: 71-75
