Class Title – Junior Engineer (Civil Engineer)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 11100-29950 monthly

Job Profile:

Under the general/close supervision of higher officers, supervises construction and maintenance work and prepares preliminary drawing and estimates and other related work.

Typical Tasks:

  1. To prepare rough drawings, site plans and cost estimates of work required to be executed.
  2. To check and prepare drawings for work/site details and checks 100% work performed under his charge to ensure that all works are done according to specifications, drawings, standards laid down and approved samples. Records particulars of defective/ substandard work in the site order-book and also brings to the notice of his superior officers.
  3. To arrange and issues material to the contractors and maintains proper inventory and accounts of receipts, issues, and balances. Prepares recovery statement for material and other services rendered by FCI for contractors’ accounts and sends the details to Assistant Manager/Senior Asstt., manager for effecting recovery.
  4. To record measurements of work done by the contractors/departmental labor and prepares work calculation sheets, lead charts etc., for calculating the quantities of work done.
  5. To check bills, adjustments, transfers, claims, etc. and puts up to higher officers.
  6. To prepare and submit returns required from time to time.
  7. To ensure safety measures against accidents.
  8. To perform other related work as may be assigned to him.

Mode of Recruitment: 100% direct recruitment.

Qualification and Experience: Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 1-year experience.

Class Title – Junior Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical Engineer)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern)– Rs. 11100- 29950 monthly.

Job Profile:

Under the general/close supervision of higher officers, supervises construction and maintenance work and prepares preliminary drawing and estimates and other related work.

Typical Tasks:

Qualifications and experience: Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 1-year experience in the case of Diploma holders only.

Class Title- Stenographer Grade-II:

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern)– Rs. 9900 – 25530 monthly

Job Profile:

The incumbents are required to perform the Personal Assistance duties of assisting officers up to the rank of Senior Deputy Manager, by scheduling appointments, answering telephones and giving information to callers, composing and typing routine correspondence, filing correspondence and performing other related work.

Typical Tasks:

  1. To schedule appointments, answers telephones and gives information to callers or connects them to the appropriate officers.
  2. To receive visitors, to ascertain the nature of the business and directs visitors to concerned officers.
  3. To locate and attaches appropriate references to correspondence.
  4. To compose and types routine correspondence.
  5. To take dictation types, to compares and puts up the letters and notes for signatures.
  6. To check all out-going letters from the officer for completeness of signatures, attachment of enclosures, date, full address etc.
  7. To file correspondence and other records.
  8. To perform other related work that may be assigned to him.

Mode of Recruitment: Promotion of typists, failing which direct recruitment.

Qualification and experience:

For Promotees: 3 years experience, Typing speed 40 w.p.m. and shorthand 80 w.p.m. essential.

For Direct Recruiters: Matriculation with a speed of 40 and 80 w.p.m. in typewriting and shorthand respectively.

Class Title – Typist (Hindi)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 9300 – 22940 monthly

Job Profile:

This is the beginning level of clerical grade requiring knowledge and ability to type correctly in Hindi at the speed of 40 w.p.m. and above. The incumbent may also be required to perform other duties listed for AG-III.

Typical Tasks:

  1. To type in Hindi articles, notes, letters and statements, cuts stencils and compare typed material.
  2. To perform other duties as required by his superiors.

Mode of Recruitment: Direct 100%

Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with a speed of 30 w.p.m. in Hindi Typewriting.

Desirable: Experience in Hindi Typing.

Class Title- Assistant Grade-II (Ministerial)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 9900 – 25530 monthly

Job Profile:

This is the middle-level clerical grade requiring some knowledge of a limited variety of pertinent regulations, procedures, and instructions relating to the subjects dealt with, which can be learned after some experience. The incumbent, under the immediate supervision of A.M./higher officers, performs a variety of clerical work such as recording notes in files recommending action to be taken in routine cases, drafting routine letters to be issued by the office, posting entries in ledgers, maintaining statistics by keeping record in registers, preparing returns and statements and performing other related work that may be assigned to him including the duties listed for AG-I and AG-III.

The lower range of duties of AG-II overlaps with the higher range of duties of AG-III and the higher range of duties of AG-III and the higher range of duties of AG-II overlap with the lower range of duties of AG-I.

Typical Tasks:

The following are a few illustrations of the tasks generally preferred by positions falling under this class:

  1. To collect material from Reports and Returns received from Sections/persons under the office, enter relevant information in registers and consolidates and compiles Returns and Statements.
  2. To collect and compile information relating to Budget Estimate, Expenditure etc.
  3. To receive circulars, initiate action required thereon/submits for information to officers in the appropriate files, maintains guard files etc.
  4. To prepare and submit periodical returns and statements required from the office such as Sales Tax Returns, Progress of Bills/Payments received from A.P.O. Outstandings against State Governments/Private parties, Delayed Bills, Costing of food grains to A.P.O., Employment Exchange Returns etc.
  5. To issue Tender Forms, receives Tender Forms duly filled in by H & T Contractors, Transport Contractors, intending purchases of damaged foodstuff, etc., checks for conformity with terms and conditions including payment of security deposits, and puts up the case with his recommendations to the Assistant Manager/other officers.
  6. Does work connected with indexing, recording and weeding out of old records.
  7. To check Pay T.A., Medical Reimbursement and other bills.
  8. To prepare Transfer-out Invoices and enters Transfer-in and Transfer-out Invoices in the Ledgers.
  9. May be required to work as a cashier when he will have to receive and disburse payments by cash/cheques and demand drafts, make entries in Cash Book and Control Registers and perform other duties of cashier.
  10. To perform other related work that may be assigned to him by his superiors.

Mode of Recruitment: Promotion 100% failing which direct recruitment.

Qualification and Experience:

For Promotees: 3 years experience as AG-III/Typists/Telephone Operator.

For Direct Recruits: Graduate; 4 years experience in an office.

Class Title- Assistant Grade-III (Ministerial)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 9300 – 22940 monthly

Job Profile:

The following are a few illustrations of the tasks generally performed by positions falling under this class:

  1. To receive and diarize the incoming dak, to segregates incoming communications and distributes to the concerned employees.
  2. To read and check outgoing mail for completeness, readiness for dispatch by checking e.g. proper and complete sadness, proper signatures, proper enclosures and similar details and conformity to postal regulation.
  3. To compare typed material.
  4. To record the movement of incoming and outgoing files.
  5. To draft simple letters and maintains files of routine nature.
  6. To prepare identity cards for employees, to makes entries in the service book and maintains a casual leave account.
  7. To receive monthly indents for items of stationery from different sections, scrutinizes the same keeping in view the staff strength, issues in previous months and the stocks in hand with the sections concerned, and seeks orders of the superiors in respect of the quantity to be issued.
  8. To perform other related work that may be assigned to him by his superiors.

Mode of recruitment: Direct 90% Promotion 10% from Matriculate Category IV employees with 3 years experience.

Qualification and Experience:

For Promotees: Matriculate Category IV employees with 3 years experience.

For Direct Recruits: Graduation.

Class Title- Assistant Grade-III (Depot)

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 9300 – 22940 monthly.

Job Profile:

  1. To assist his superiors in sealing the godown locks, maintaining of godown daily opening and closing register, checking watchman on duty, supervising cleaning and sweepings etc.
  2. To attend to godown activities such as receipts, issues, physical verification of stock and shed accounts and reports; attends to loading, unloading, weighing and stacking operations and prepares the relevant records such as convoy note, truck chit, and delivery memo. Makes entries in the commodity register, StackWise register, daily diary, and bit cards, and signs all papers prepared by him.
  3. To prepare daily, fortnightly and monthly issue and receipt reports.
  4. To maintain an account of the dead-stock and miscellaneous articles.
  5. To guide, to direct and to supervise labor gang, stitchers, sweepers and sifters in performing their duties.
  6. To diarise and dispatches dak.
  7. To draft simple letters and maintains files of routine nature.
  8. To perform other related work as may be assigned to him by his superiors.

Mode of recruitment: Promotion of Shed Tallymen taken over from Food Department failing which: Direct 90%, Promotion 10% from Category IV employees who matriculate.

Qualification and Experience:

For Promotees: 3 years of experience in category IV.

For Direct Recruits: Graduation.

Class Title- Technical Assistant Grade-III

Scale of Pay (IDA Pattern) – Rs. 9300 – 22940 monthly.

Job Profile:

This is the beginning level grade of Technical Assistants involving the performance under the close supervision of AM(QC)/ higher officers and under the lead of TA Grade-I or TA Grade-II, simple tests relating to the analysis of the sample of food grains and preparation of analysis report. The incumbent may be required to perform various physical and chemical tests as may be prescribed from time to time and maintain a record of samples received along with results of the analysis, prepare statements and returns, maintain records of equipment received and supplied and perform other related work that may be assigned. The higher range of duties of TA Grade-III overlaps with the lower range of duties of TA Grade-II.

Typical Tasks:

  1. To receive various samples and enters in a register, gets the same arranged by Pickers in the sample room; may assist in preparing Analysis Report.
  2. To check the maintenance of Reference Type Samples library arranged by the Pickers.
  3. To carry out analysis of food grains such as performing Iodine Test for determining the dehusk in Rice, checking the length and breadth ratio on the gauge, checking moisture content, checking and studying various refractions as separated by the Pickers and other physical and chemical tests as may be prescribed from time to time.
  4. To collect data for returns and statements.
  5. To check the quality of food grains at the time of receipt and issue.
  6. To assist in surprise checks.
  7. To assist in the procurement of food grains from mandies as well as taking over of staff from State Governments from Central pool.
  8. To perform other related work that may be assigned to him.

Qualification: Degree in Science, preferably in Agriculture.
