The CWC Superintendent exam was conducted today for 571 vacancies. The paper was easier than expected and the cut-off will most probably go high. While Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, and Data Analysis & Interpretation and Quantitative Aptitude sections were easy, English Language and General Awareness sections were easy to moderate. Let’s have a look at the detailed analysis of each section:

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude

The reasoning section was easy. Below are the topics from which questions were asked.

  • 3 sets of puzzles with 15 questions
    • 5 questions on Circular Sitting Arrangement
    • 5 questions on Linear Sitting Arrangement
    • 5 questions on Box-based puzzle
  • 4 questions on coded inequalities
  • 4 questions on Coded directions
  • 5 questions on Coding-decoding
  • 3 questions on Ranking
  • 3 questions on Blood Relations
  • 1 question on Schedule
  • 4 questions on Syllogism
  • 1 question on alphabetical series


The Quant section was easy as well. The analysis of this section is as under:

  • 5 Quadratic Equation Questions
  • 5 Approximation Questions
  • 4 DI Sets with 20 Questions
    • 5 questions on a Pie Chart + Table
    • 5 questions on a Table with the data of people visiting on a library
    • 5 questions on 2 Line Charts
    • 5 questions on a Bar Graph
  • 10 Word Problems (from various areas like Time and Work, Percentage, Mensuration, Age-problem, Simple & Compound Interest, P& L, Probability (Dice), Partnership, Mixture & Stream & Boat etc.


The English section was easy to moderate. The analysis of this section is as under:

  • Reading Comprehension– 2 Sets of RC with 10 Questions
  • Double Fillers- 4 Questions
  • Cloze Test– 6 Questions
  • Error Detection– 5 Questions
  • Phrase Replacement- 5 Questions
  • Match the Column- 5 Questions

General Awareness

Even the GA questions were moderate to easy. Some of the questions which were asked are below:

  • A question on Roger Federer
  • The inclusion of a new country in the International Criminal Court

  • English Language: 30-33
  • General Awareness: 23-26
