One of the most prestigious Financial Institution NABARD has released the much awaited Development Assistant and Development Assistant (Hindi) 2019 notification. Read this article for knowing the Eligibility Criteria, Vacancies, Exam Pattern, Important Details and more.

Eligibility Criteria

Age as on Sep 01, 2019

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 35 years

(A candidate should have born between Sep 02, 1984 and Sep 01, 2001: Both dates inclusive)

Age relaxation is subject to certain conditions.

Educational Qualification

Development Assistant

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates) from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Development Assistant (Hindi)

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline in English/Hindi medium with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject with a minimum of 50% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS candidates) in the aggregate OR Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi and English as main subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS candidates) in the aggregate.
Candidate must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice-versa.

Candidates applying for post in a particular State should be proficient
in the official language of the State (i.e. should be able to read, write, speak
and understand the language). The Official language of the state would be the main language declared in the State gazette of the concerned state.

Exam Pattern

There will be two online examinations: Preliminary (Phase 1) and Main (Phase 2). The details are below:

  • Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by NABARD.
  • Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by NABARD depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main examination.
  • For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
